THE DIRECTORY

Our Team

We are your friendly neighborhood coders and creative artists who want to change up the game when it comes to online magazines and editorials.

We are a small team of developers and designers who care about how stories look and feel on the web. That mix of code and creativity is who we are, day to day.

We are a group of coders, graphic designers, photographers, and typographers. You will find us sketching ideas, tuning typography, and shipping features with the same attention to detail.

Here at THE DIRECTORY we love working with our local communities, whether that means local restaurants, bars, models, artists, athletes, photographers, journalists, fashion designers, fashion shows, and more.

We build and run THE DIRECTORY as an online magazine and editorial home for our city: layouts, typography, imagery, and the tech underneath so stories and listings stay fast and easy to read.

We partner with people and places who shape local culture, from restaurants and bars to artists, athletes, photographers, journalists, and fashion. That can mean features, spotlights, event pages, or campaigns that match your brand.

We also help teams market upcoming events on THE DIRECTORY. If you have something coming up, we work with you on how it should look and read, then get it in front of the right audience.

We believe local culture deserves the same care as big national outlets: strong writing, honest photography, and design that respects the reader. Too many community stories get buried in noisy feeds or generic templates, and we are tired of that being the default.

THE DIRECTORY is our way of putting neighbors, makers, venues, and nights out in one editorial space that feels intentional. When someone opens a page here, we want them to feel like they discovered something real about where they live.

We do this work because it lets us combine code and craft in service of people we actually root for. If the city looks a little brighter, better documented, and easier to navigate, that is the win.

    Aug 29 | 7 PM

For Chris Lake, making people dance is more than a career: it’s an obsession. Over nearly two decades, the GRAMMY®-nominated artist has become one of house music’s most compelling figures. In that time, he’s lived many lives as a producer, DJ, and label head, all connected by his ability to make big moments both onstage and in his music. Recent singles such as “Summertime Blues,” his brisk but breezy collaboration with Sammy Virji, and his songs with Aluna – the smoldering “Beggin’” and hypnotic “More Baby” – have yielded appearances on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. Expertly occupying the middle ground between dance music’s underground and commercial realms, the British producer’s finely-tuned ear for club-forward basslines and catchy vocals plays a large role in his success. Ultimately, it’s the result of following his creative instincts. “I guess I primarily make stuff for me and what feels good for me,” he says, “but I try to give it my flair without taking it too seriously. I’m not scared of a song, I’m not scared of a melody, and I’m not scared of a moment. I just try to have fun with this stuff.”

One of the most successful acts to come out of the 21st century’s English folk-rock revival, Mumford & Sons’ agreeable fusion of bluegrass, folk, country, and rock has found favor with audiences at home and abroad ever since they released their debut album, Sigh No More, in 2009. Their chart-topping sophomore effort, 2012’s Babel, won Album of the Year at both the Brit and Grammy Awards, which led to the band headlining the 2013 Glastonbury Festival. Mumford & Sons’ sound evolved with the 2015 arrival of Wilder Mind, which adopted a more stadium-ready alt-rock style, a predilection that the group continued to explore on 2018’s Paul Epworth-produced Delta. A six-year studio hiatus preceded the release of the 2024 single “Good People,” a collaboration with Pharrell Williams, before the group returned in full with 2025’s Rushmere. The Hozier collaboration “Rubber Band Man” heralded 2026’s Prizefighter. – AllMusic.com

Lil Wayne rewrote the entire game in his image. The five-time GRAMMY® Award-winning multiplatinum rap icon, Young Money Entertainment founder, acclaimed author, pro skater, philanthropist, and history-making superstar left an indelible tattoo on the culture. By 2020, he cemented his legacy forever as “one of the best-selling artists of all time,” tallying sales in excess of 100 million records worldwide with 25 million albums and 90 million digital tracks sold in the United States alone. In 2022, Wayne earned his first Diamond certification from the RIAA with his generational smash hit “Lollipop” feat. Static Major. Not to mention, he garnered 11 BET Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, two MTV VMAs, and eight NAACP Image Awards. Among many milestones, he emerged as “the first male artist to surpass Elvis Presley with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100,” logging a staggering 186 entries – the 4th most of all time.

With a discography highlighted by five career-spanning #1 debuts beginning with 2008’s 8x-platinum, 3x GRAMMY® Award-winning opus Tha Carter III and its 5x-platinum 2011 successor Tha Carter IV, he continued the iconic series with Tha Carter V in 2018. The album not only clinched #1 on the Billboard 200, but also achieved “the second-largest streaming week for an album in history.” Every song on the tracklisting charted on the Billboard Hot 100, as he became “the first artist to debut two songs in the top 5.” The momentum carried into his thirteenth full-length album, Funeral, released the following year. In 2025, he returned with Tha Carter VI, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200. Simultaneously, Wayne owns and operates Young Money Entertainment as CEO—the label that ignited the careers of two of the most successful artists of all time, Drake and Nicki Minaj. A committed philanthropist, he also founded The One Family Foundation.

Purchase

THE DIRECTORY is about working with local restaurants, bars, grills, fashion designers, journalists, artists, and everyone else who shapes culture in your city. We want to work with modeling agencies and fashion shows too if you put creative work in front of an audience, you belong here.

When you purchase a spot on THE DIRECTORY, you get four pages you can fully customize: your photography, your copy, your credits, and your call to action so readers see you exactly the way you intend.

We only take on 25 spots per issue. A spot is normally $50, but right now we need 25 locals to help us showcase THE DIRECTORY, so those seats are free. We are also looking for 25 complimentary showcase spots for July; tell us if you want in on either run.

What you get: Four dedicated pages in the issue for your brand, laid out like the rest of the book and ready for your art direction.

Next step: Tell us who you are and we will walk you through reserving a spot and locking your folio.
